This recovery gel is good. I am using it post-procedure as the doctor advised to use a scar recovery product. The cost for such a small amount is the only reason I have deducted one star. The size of the tube does not look like the photo of the product. It is a very slim cylindrical tube not wide and flat appearing like the photo. I will likely need to reorder as I do not think the product will last long enough. I'd also like to have it around as a staple to aid in any future wound healing

I purchased this to use on two large incisions that resulted from a major nerve repair surgery. I love SkinMedica products so even after reading some of the other skeptical reviews, I decided it was worth a try. The size of the tube is tiny but you don't need much. This product leaves a weird residue on your skin and actually made my skin peel and itch in certain areas. I started using it about 2 weeks after surgery so maybe it was too soon. I am going to wait until 2 months post surgery and try again on a smaller spot. Maybe this is meant for smaller plastic surgery types of incisions but not so great on major scars
